Dealers

Dealers are LSC members in good standing who are permitted to display and sell philatelic material during club meetings. There are two classes of dealers:

Professional Dealers and

In May 2006 the LSC had adopted the following Code of Ethics for all Dealers:

  1. To give advice, within their sphere of knowledge or specialty and to the best of their ability, to club members on philatelic matters; to suggest, where possible alternative, potential information sources when the subject of enquiry is not within their sphere of knowledge or specialty.
  2. To sell material at, or about, the prevailing prices and not to take advantage of a prospective buyer’s lack of knowledge of the value or condition of the material being offered.
  3. To refrain from dealing in suspected stolen material or in material suspected of being counterfeit (unless clearly identified as such).
