Dealers are LSC members in good standing who are permitted to display and sell philatelic material during club meetings. There are two classes of dealers:
In May 2006 the LSC had adopted the following Code of Ethics for all Dealers:
- To give advice, within their sphere of knowledge or specialty and to the best of their ability, to club members on philatelic matters; to suggest, where possible alternative, potential information sources when the subject of enquiry is not within their sphere of knowledge or specialty.
- To sell material at, or about, the prevailing prices and not to take advantage of a prospective buyer’s lack of knowledge of the value or condition of the material being offered.
- To refrain from dealing in suspected stolen material or in material suspected of being counterfeit (unless clearly identified as such).
